There are now 24 Chicks for Bush

How 'bout that!

Keep 'em coming - the more the merrier!

Who is the Forger?

Hugh Hewitt, Powerline and others have details on the high likelihood that the 60 Minute documents are faked.

Who faked them? And how will they be punished?

Chicks for Bush - Part 2

I'm getting great response ... we might be up to 20 members before the weekend.

If you're a chick ...
1. And you'll sleep better at night if GWB is reelected
2. You like guys who have a bit of swagger in their walk
3. You don't believe that endless pontification is a sign of superior intellect
4. You expect and want a man to make a commitment and stick to it
5. You think real men like real sports (like baseball not windsurfing)

You should be a Chick for Bush.

Give me a comment and I'll put you on the roll

BTW, Aaron is helping me with a banner, you're going to love it.

Chicks for Bush

I wish someone had a snap poll on women's reactions to the President's speech on Thursday night. I believe that thousands and thousands of women who grew up on Pride and Predjudice and Sleepless in Seattle, were weak with love when George Bush's eyes filled up with tears.

I think I'll start a new blogroll, Chicks for Bush. Perhaps some of my blogging friends like Justene, Ith, Venemous Kate, Doggy Diaries, Baldilocks, DeoDuce Miss Attila and Sgt. Airborne's Wife will join.

Maybe we can get She Who Will Be Obeyed, DaGoddess, Annika and who knows who else to help reverse the gender gap.

Anybody interested?

Update

We've got 5 charter members: Kate, Annika, 2Flower, Ilyka and Me. Please help me spread the word.

Woo Hoo ... More Numbers

Captain Ed has the scoop. Newsweek will report a double digit lead for President Bush, and a 19 point swing in the last month!

I Love Numbers

The Instapundit reports on some fab poll numbers -- double digit lead from Time.Inc.

Powerline tells about Frank Luntz' focus group. The undecideds are deciding for Bush. BTW, I also love Frank Luntz.

Slings and Arrows gives the real story on Zogby's 9 Point Switcheroo.

ABC/WaPo shows a 7 point swing.

Slimey Stuart Smalley

BTW, Who invited Al Franken to the California delegation party at the Tavern On the Green?

Online Again, Naturally

Back from NYC, where the parties were fabulous, but the blogging disastrous. We had intended to bring the wireless laptop of my friend's husband. But at the last moment, he substituted the 7 year old daughter's. Which would be fine if you wanted to photo blog Hillary Duff or play the Barbie riding game. We could never get the browser to go beyond a wormsite. We tried the hotels tv/web browser and it couldn't even go to hotmail, apparently needed to be upgraded. We went to the hotel's biz center and had problems, we could have surmounted them, this time they weren't insurmountable, but there was a party to go to. So I'm sorry to say, my blog attempts failed.

But we had some very fine adventures. A yacht cruise with members of the legislature by the Statue of Liberty, The Boy from Oz with Hugh Jackman, dancing with Darrel Worley at the Tavern on the Green, the hot party at the Boathouse in Central Park with the Governor, Martina McBride at the Roseland, brunch with Chairman Thomas at the NY Library.

The NYC Cops are completely fine, and I would recommend to all my single friends that they skip Cancun, Hawaii and maybe even Pebble Beach to holiday where they can go to a cop bar.

I made some notes, so I'll have a few details about the speeches, the protestors, the city, etc. to add later.

Internet Breakdown

For whatever reason, I haven't been able to get onto the web to post since we arrived in NYC. Based on the line in the business center, perhaps there is something wrong with the hotel's in-room high-speed connection lines.

Are Kerry's Journals Dummied Up?

Yesterday my site was on the fritz so I'm reposting this. We report, you decide.

Michelle Malkin offers a letter from Viet Nam Vet, Terry Sater. He points out some obvious errors in Kerry's bio, Tour of Duty, which author Douglas Brinkley has stated were based on Kerry's journal's.

On page 179, there is a reference to an incident that occurred on October 14th. Page 181 begins with; "Only a few weeks later, Kerry, on a PCF-44 patrol, observed four troop battalions from the Ninth Infantry Division at Dong Tam and five Mobile Riverine Force squadrons staging an assault for the benefit of Secretary of Defense Melvin Laird. "To facilitate putting on a good show, an area was picked out for the landing where the chance of guerilla contact was minimal." Kerry sneered. "Nothing was to mess up the show for the secretary of defense." I was with River Assault Squadron 13 during this time period. Melvin Laird was the secretary of defense from January 22, 1969 to January 29, 1973. At the high point, there were only four squadrons of the Mobile Riverine Force. The four squadrons were split into two larger groups; "Group Alpha" and "Group Bravo", in early summer, of 1968, spread out over different parts of the Mekong Delta. All four squadrons were never pulled together to put on a show for Melvin Laird.

Kerry has now twice blamed actions on the Nixon administration that took place before Nixon was inaugurated. If the journals were written in real time, how would he know that Melvin Laird was going to be nominated and confirmed as Secretary of Defense? If he had written about Cambodia in real time, wouldn't it have come up during Kerry's testimony before the Senate?

What if Kerry wrote the journals long after he got back to the United States, in 1977 or 1978? His anger at Nixon could have clouded his memory and he got important details wrong.

Perhaps there is a less sinister explanation, but I can't think of it.

Thanks to Miss Attila for the head's up.
