I missed St Patrick's Day. No partying for me -- last week I had to have a revision surgery on the forehead scar I had received in my hiking accident. So I was laying low and off the sauce.

But my friend William Farrell was busy. You know him, crazy William Farrell the barefoot water skiier or you know the same William Farrell but you know him as the math whiz or William Farrell the sales superstar. All I can tell you is that William Farrell is someone I'm very proud to call my friend.

Air New Zealand to hold L.A. casting call for Cranial Billboards to advertise life-changing JOURNEYS DOWN UNDER

WHO: Air New Zealand invites Southern California residents to be considered for a 10-day gig as one of its 30 cranial billboards.

WHAT: Air New Zealand will hold a casting call to select 30 adults (18+) to serve as walking billboards for 10 days. The selected billboards will have their heads shaved and branded with a temporary henna tattoo. The tattoo will be visible for approximately 10 days (with one reapplication after five days) and read "Need a change? Head down to New Zealand. http://airnewzealand.com/usa". The message reflects Air New Zealand's current "Depart a Californian. Return a Kiwi." advertising campaign communicating the potential for a life-change.

Each selected applicant will be eligible for a cash prize of $777 or an economy roundtrip ticket to New Zealand. The cash prize will be paid in two installments. The first half will be given after the selection and tattoo application and the second half will be given at the October 30 reapplication. For those who select a ticket in Pacific Economy class to New Zealand instead, the ticket will be given at the second application on October 30.

Cranial billboards will be asked to go about their normal lives, attend their regular events and might be asked to fly on a major airline between Los Angeles and San Francisco, encouraging busy travellers to explore their need for change by heading down to New Zealand.

WHEN: Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008 from Noon - 3:00 p.m.

*Applications will be accepted from noon - 1 p.m. Applicants will be selected, shaved and tattooed beginning at 1 p.m.

The worst part of the debate last night was when Obama said "I have a bracelet, too!" and then had to look down and read the name off the bracelet 'cuz he didn't even know the name of the army sergeant he was supposedly honoring.

Sickening.

Family Upset Obama Wears Their Son’s Bracelet

Radio host Glenn Moberg of the show “Route 51″ asked Mr. Jopek, a man who believes in the efforts in Iraq and is not in favor of Obama’s positions on the war, what he and his ex-wife think of Obama continually using their son’s name on the campaign trail.

Jopek began by saying that his ex-wife was taken aback, even upset, that Obama has made the death of her son a campaign issue. Jopek says his wife gave Obama the bracelet because “she just wanted Mr. Obama to know Ryan’s name.” Jopek went on to say that “she wasn’t looking to turn it into a big media event” and “just wanted it to be something between Barack Obama and herself.” Apparently, they were all shocked it became such a big deal.
