Thru All Kinds of Weather

Wizbang has lost his job. There is no good time for this to happen, but Christmas is a particularly lousy one. If you've got a few extra nickels in your paycheck today, stop by and hit his tip jar. After all, we don't know what's coming tomorrow ...

Oh, we ain't got a barrel of money,
Maybe we're ragged and funny,
But we'll travel along,
Singing a song,
Side by side.

Tho' we don't know
What's coming tomorrow,
Maybe it's trouble and sorrow,
But we'll travel the road
Sharin' our load,
Side by side.

Thru all kinds of weather,
What if the sky should fall,
Just as long as we're together,
It really doesn't matter at all,

When they've all had their quarrels and parted,
We'll be the same as we started,
Just travelling along,
Singing a song,
Side by side.

And now for Day 5 in our Christmas Carol Lessons

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

God rest you merry gentlemen,
Let nothing you dismay,
Remember Christ, our Savior
was born on Christmas day;
To save us all from satan's pow'r,
when we were gone astray.

(Refrain)
O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy.

In Bethlehem, in Jewry,
this blessed Babe was born,
And laid within a manger,
upon this blessed morn;
The which his mother Mary,
did nothing take in scorn.

From God our heav'nly Father,
a blessed angel came;
And unto certain shepherds,
brought tidings of the same;
How that in Bethlehem was born,
the Son of God by name.

The shepherds at those tidings
rejoiced much in mind,
And left their flocks a feeding,
in tempest, storm, and wind:
And went to Bethlehem straight way,
the Son of God to find.
